A Few Words From Our Founder

Thank you for your generous support! I truly believe it takes working together as a community to improve the lives of those who need help.

One of my favorite stories is about a foxhound named Nash. Nash was set to be euthanized for aggression towards people and animals, but we accepted him through our rescue program. When I first met him, his aggression was at the point that you couldn't sit on stairs or a chair/couch without Nash lunging for you.

See, Nash had been abused and neglected, and his new fear of everyone presented as aggression. Nash has been with us for 3 years, and hasn't been aggressive with people or pets. The dogs, cats, and bunnies often intermingle, and Nash has always been gentle.

Nash, like so many abused pets, reacts the way some people react when they suffer from PTSD. That's how we approached Nash and earned his trust, learning his triggers and creating a safe environment for him.

Now, his adoption is pending and we can't wait to see him happy with his family!
